Success will always be hard, but with certain steps it becomes more predictable.

Fixating on Difficulties create more of them
Our most dominant thoughts forge our realities. The creative tendencies of our minds mold us into the images that permeate our thinking.
Filling our minds with thoughts of inadequacies and drawbacks further aggravate our lots and blinds us to opportunities distant and near. The power of concentration is picked up and directed towards unlikely ends by our focusing on what is not working well for us.
We are quick to concede to hurdles and to regard our place in the world as etched in stone before even giving success a shot.
It is easy to pay lip service to contentment and at the same time wallow in the mire of difficulties. This thought process results in a vicious circle of self-fulfilling predictions.
Successful people in general leave their minds open to opportunities and dig deeper into setbacks to pick up the lessons embedded within them. They don’t ruminate over failures and setbacks.
Upward social mobility and the rags-to-riches phenomenon are rare and strenuous but attainable. They are more difficult than getting admitted into Harvard. Only 5.9% of applicants got admitted into the ivy league college for the 2018 class.
The Place for Motivation
If all you read is motivational material that suggest you only need to focus your mind and attention on certain goals to become an overnight sensation. And that by simply choosing the entrepreneurial path, you’re guaranteed success without acknowledging the demand of time and efforts. Only then will success remain a pipe dream.
Such advices leaves so much to be desired and from experience they breed disappointment. While Motivational content serves a purpose in expediting achievement, you mustn’t give them more attention than they deserve.
Motivation impart the psychology of success and this is a vital tool you’ll need for starting and performing optimally.
While you’ll need motivation and inspiration to upend disadvantages, more mental upheaval is required to tilt the scale in your favour and to turn statistics in their head.
Think in Terms of Opportunities Not Setbacks
Most people never achieve great things because they are not prepared to learn how and are unwilling to pay the price.
Fixating on drawbacks is a major stumbling block to making a headway in life and work and must be squashed by developing mental toughness and resilience.
Fixating on opportunities alone won’t empower us to seize them but it’s a great place to start and it will serve as a springboard to capturing opportunities.
Oftentimes, certain core elements of our current reality are the sources of our setbacks. Rooting out such elements is key. Or at least taking steps to tone them down.
I am overwhelmed by the myriads of opportunities I encounter on a regular basis. The problem has never been the lack of opportunities but creating value from them.
Your preoccupation should be on developing the tools and systems that will stand you in a good stead in maximizing these opportunities.
